Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used and protected when you use the Müze Radar mobile app (the "App").

1. Data we collect

Account information

• Your name and email address.
• Your password, which is stored on our servers only in irreversibly hashed form; no one can see it.
• If you sign in with Apple or Google, the name, email and account identifier those services share with us.
• An optional profile photo.

Content you create in the App

• Your reviews, ratings and the photos you add to reviews. These are visible to other users together with your name and profile photo.
• Your "Helpful" votes, favorite museums and the museums you have visited.

Location

• To show museums near you, your location is sent to our server to fetch the list of museums. Your location is not stored on the server.
• If you grant "Always" location access, nearby museum notifications and "Mark as visited" suggestions are calculated on your device only; your background location is not sent to us.
• You can use the App without location access; the nearby museums feature will not work in that case.

Notifications

• If you allow notifications, your device's push token and your announcements preference are stored and linked to your account.

Data that stays on your device

• Your trip plan, language and theme preferences and notification settings are stored on your device and are not sent to our server.

Technical logs

• Technical information such as IP addresses may be processed by our infrastructure provider Cloudflare for security and to operate the service.

The App contains no advertising, ad tracking or analytics SDKs. We do not sell your personal data.

2. How we use your data

• To create your account, keep you signed in and keep your account secure,
• To show nearby museums, your travel map, badges and trip plan,
• To publish your reviews and photos,
• To send the notifications you have allowed,
• To respond to support requests and improve the service.

3. Legal bases

We process your data to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract), for the security and improvement of the service (legitimate interests), and, for permission-based features such as location and notifications, on the basis of the consent you give on your device. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device settings or on the App's Notifications screen.

4. Sharing your data

We share your data only with the following service providers, and only to provide the service:

• Cloudflare, Inc. – server, database and photo storage infrastructure. Data may be stored on Cloudflare servers outside your country.
• Apple – delivering notifications (Apple Push Notification service), Sign in with Apple and maps.
• Google – only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Maps and navigation apps – when you tap "Directions", the museum's location is passed to the app you choose (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Yandex Navigator, Waze, etc.).

We do not share your data with any other third parties unless required by law.

5. Retention and account deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete My Account in the App. When you delete your account, your account details, reviews, ratings, review and profile photos, favorites, visit history, votes and notification records are deleted.

As a record of the deletion, your name, email address and (if provided) your reason for deleting are retained for legal obligations and possible disputes. You can ask us to delete this record by writing to dev@muzeradar.com.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise your rights, contact dev@muzeradar.com; we respond within 30 days.

7. Security

All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored irreversibly, sessions use short-lived access tokens, and each user can only change their own data.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children of that age.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will announce significant changes in the App or on this page. The current version is always available at this address.
